The Simple Songs

Thank God for the simple songs.

I’m up early this morning in full out crafting/wedding prep mode and this song came up randomly on an automated playlist.

If you’ve been connected to me via social media, you’ve probably observed my love for music. All types, genres and from all periods. I live my life in lyrics and those closest to me are familiar with my daily references to song lyrics in most of my conversations. 😊

Thinking back on many of my most difficult periods, it was my WORSHIP– the “simple songs”– that helped me get through.

My heart remembered one of THE MOST difficult days, when I called my mom to vent and get some encouragement and her response was to start singing,  “I Won’t Complain.”  A simple song.

Those lyrics were really all I needed to hear.  I thank God for a relationship like that.  Where one knows the song that can minister to someone else.

But what if we didn’t have and continue to sing those SIMPLE SONGS?

Needless to say, this song really blessed my soul this morning. Sometimes those reminders come just when we need them and I know it’s not by coincidence.

I shared it on my Instagram page and wanted to also include it here along with a link to the video.

I pray it is a blessing and encouragement for you this morning.

🎢 🎢….The simple song of life simply says, β€œYou SO LOVED the WORLD, That you gave your life for EVERY man, little boy, and girl.”

In this quest of life when tempests rage,I fall on my knees and say,

β€œLord don’t take my simple song away”.πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’–

….In this quest of life when tempests rage, I fall on my knees and say, πŸ™πŸ’–πŸ™πŸ’–

β€œLord don’t take my simple song away”…… Songs like

🎢…”AMAZING GRACE, how SWEET the sound, that SAVED a WRETCH like me”…🎢 πŸ™ŒπŸ˜

Songs like, 🎢”Oooh we, ooh wee child, things are gonna get easier”….🎢 πŸ™

Songs like, 🎢”We got to find a way, to bring some LOVIN’ here today”….πŸŽΆπŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’—

β€œLord don’t take my simple song away”….

It may be simple to you, but it’s mine. All mine. All mine!….

Lord we THANK YOU for the SIMPLE SONGS! 🎢

The Things I WishΒ

I’ve mentioned this before, but the Lord often ministers to me through music.

This song was just on my heart so strong.

I can’t recall the first time that I heard it, but I do remember hearing it play as my mom and I were driving back home from what felt like my 100th college day trip to UNC. 😣

EVERYONE just KNEW that I should go to UNC. Everyone….except me.

Unemployed, but Overjoyed

This time last year, I was unemployed.

I had been working a contract position and the position ended that February.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but it is still relevant now because this post will go into a bit more detail about the series of eventsΒ and some of the recent revelations I received during my meditation time today.

No matter what I talk about on this blog or any of my social media sites, I will always come back to sharing what the Lord has done for me.

When I was a little girl– I promised the Lord that if He would take my life and make it something different– something more than I could ever do on my own— I would let the world know what He’d done for me.

If you don’t remember any other thing about me, please know this– Every accomplishment, every good opportunity, every review (big or small), is God keeping His promises to me. I know that for a fact.

I do not take it Β for granted and I believe with every fiber of my being that if God can do that for me, He can and will do it for you.

If you accept Him as Lord and Savior, if you purpose in your heart to trust Him, to build a relationship with Him– not that you will be perfect ( I am most certainly NOT), but that you will continue to press towards Β the mark to accomplish whatever purpose it is that God has placed you on this Earth for– I KNOW He is FAITHFUL to do just EVERY GOOD THING He has promised in His word.
