Today’s verse is one of those necessary reminders. At least for me.
In life, it’s easy to become distracted. To look to others or the things of the world (money, stuff and things) to fill us or make us feel whole.

Today’s verse is a heavy one. There’s a lot to unpack and a lot of wisdom here.
If you think about it, some of the greatest reality checks come from those who know and love us the most.
As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

PERFECT.
PROVEN.
SHIELD.
These three words stood out to me this morning as I read today’s verse.
I saw this morning’s verse and the lyrics to this song immediately came to mind.
The scripture isn’t directly quoted in the song, but the Lord often ministers to me using music. It’s been that way since I was a very small child.
This is one of my all-time favorite verses.
For me, it is such a true reminder of the faithfulness of the Lord. One that is worth confessing, OFTEN.
Despite our inconsistencies, HE remains CONSISTENT. His love NEVER fails, His STRENGTH never waivers and He is our PRESENT help. BUT, it’s up to us to accept Him as our own.
Similarly, a house can belong to someone, but if the person never comes to take possession of it. It just sits there.
It is a shell of what it could be.
Have you ever noticed how an empty house will eventually cave in on itself?
