Hey y’all! ๐๐พโโ๏ธ
I’m back with another video. ๐ฉ๐พโ๐ป๐ฅ๐ฌ
Part 2 of this #Vlog series.
More updates to come!
Here’s the a link to the first video: https://youtu.be/W10PdcJrg1g
The most recent video was recorded the night of the storm. I also added in some photos and reflections from the course of the day.

I decided to document our Ida experience before it became the history making event we now know it to be.ย
***Disclaimer****
We were VERY fortunate throughout our experience.ย I FULLY acknowledge that not everyone is able to evacuate at the drop of a hat (I’ll talk about that more later).
I will also say that our homes and neighborhoods had VERY minimal damage ๐๐พ compared to others๐ฅ and most of New Orleans was spared from the types of destruction that was seen during Hurricane Katrina.
Even still, this was a lot to deal with….especially given that I was still feeling (physically and emotionally) the impacts of our pregnancy loss ๐…. while also trying to plan and prepare a toddler for a long road trip. ๐ฌ
**************************************
I was trying my best to keep myself calm so that no feelings of fear or anxiety could transfer to my extremely observant and super empathic (ALMOST) 2-year-old.
This is OUR journey….
