Watch “Saturday Storytime | Evacuating for Hurricane Ida | Toddler Mom | Family | Vlog #Ida #NewOrleans” on YouTube

Hey y’all! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

I’m back with another video. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐ŸŽฅ๐ŸŽฌ
Part 2 of this #Vlog series.

More updates to come!

Here’s the a link to the first video: https://youtu.be/W10PdcJrg1g

The most recent video was recorded the night of the storm. I also added in some photos and reflections from the course of the day.

I decided to document our Ida experience before it became the history making event we now know it to be.ย

***Disclaimer****
We were VERY fortunate throughout our experience.ย  I FULLY acknowledge that not everyone is able to evacuate at the drop of a hat (I’ll talk about that more later).

I will also say that our homes and neighborhoods had VERY minimal damage ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ compared to others๐Ÿ˜ฅ and most of New Orleans was spared from the types of destruction that was seen during Hurricane Katrina.

Even still, this was a lot to deal with….especially given that I was still feeling (physically and emotionally) the impacts of our pregnancy loss ๐Ÿ’”…. while also trying to plan and prepare a toddler for a long road trip. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

**************************************

I was trying my best to keep myself calm so that no feelings of fear or anxiety could transfer to my extremely observant and super empathic (ALMOST) 2-year-old.

This is OUR journey….
