June 17, 2017 Verse of the Day

Have you ever needed something for the day, but you couldn’t find it?

Maybe it was a mate to a shoe, an official document, or something you needed to wear.

I know I have.

I also know what it feels like to scour your house or apartment when you’re unable to locate that thing.

We will look EVERYWHERE… even in places we’ve already looked and those locations that make ABSOLUTELY no sense (because we would NEVER put the item there– and don’t recall EVER seeing it there… But we’re willing to check anyway– “Just to make sure.” 😁)

This morning’s verse, brought that example to mind for me and it made me consider these questions:

Do we seek out the Lord like that?

How much better would our lives be if we did?

In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.
Isaiah 26:9 NLT

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had occasion when I look for something at night and then have to search for another item in the morning. That happens TOO frequently when I’m packing for travel.

And there is always a feeling of peace and security and CALM that I experience when I’m able to place my hand on those things that I knew I had all along.

June 17, 2017 Verse of the Day:

As children of the most high, God. We have an everpresent help, but we have to SEEK HIM. We can’t overlook Him or sit the relationship in a side closet until a time of crisis arises.

I pray that you would meditate on today’s verse and consider what it means to be in constant, desperate pursuit of God.

Have a great day, folks! 😃
