Our Flu Fight
I’ve been a bit MIA, but with good reason.
My husband was recently hospitalized with pneumonia complications following the flu.
It’s still rather surreal.
Even after seeing all the reports in the news, I never imagined that my husband would be one of those people.
Our Spouses Cannot Come Before God
Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE my husboo, but I DON’T love him more than I love God!
I thank God for the blessing Brandon is in my life, but I understand that we are both HUMAN. We are both in the flesh and this flesh fails us, despite our best intentions.
Being married has taught me a lot about GRACE. Even more so, it’s taught me the truth about this statement,
“Even a very GOOD husband makes a very POOR God.”
[Only God Himself can settle those deep heart-needs. Philippians 4:19 reminds us of this, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
If a husband could meet every need his wife had, we’d have no need for God. ~ Lysa TerKeurst]
