Are you excited about something this morning? Did you set a new goal? Please let me know in the comment section of this post ππΎ
I’m excited because I made a perfect score on my most recent course quiz! I’d been aiming for that and FINALLY accomplished that goal. ππΎπͺπ½π€
Let’s celebrate one another, that’s how we build community and forge deeper connections!
Today’s Verse of the Day is also from Matthew, Chapter 5.
This morning, we’re looking at verse 14.
When you think about being a light, what does that mean to you?
To me, I think of letting God’s goodness shine through me. Β Be it through my actions, words, or even my inaction (particularly by refusing to respond to those things that attack my peace and attempt to distract me from my purpose.)
I pray that you’ll take a moment to meditate on this passage and prayer for today. Β ππΎπ
Bible Verse of the Day
βYou are the light of the worldβlike a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden….”
There WAS a much longer post here, but it looks like it was erased somehow.. π¦
I’ll try to update it later.
Here’s the scripture reference for your personal meditation: The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
I’m up early this morning in full out crafting/wedding prep mode and this song came up randomly on an automated playlist.
If you’ve been connected to me via social media, you’ve probably observed my love for music. All types, genres and from all periods. I live my life in lyrics and those closest to me are familiar with my daily references to song lyrics in most of my conversations. π
Thinking back on many of my most difficult periods, it was my WORSHIP– the “simple songs”– that helped me get through.
My heart remembered one of THE MOST difficult days, when I called my mom to vent and get some encouragement and her response was to start singing, “I Won’t Complain.” A simple song.
Those lyrics were really all I needed to hear. I thank God for a relationship like that. Where one knows the song that can minister to someone else.
But what if we didn’t have and continue to sing those SIMPLE SONGS?
Needless to say, this song really blessed my soul this morning. Sometimes those reminders come just when we need them and I know it’s not by coincidence.
I shared it on my Instagram page and wanted to also include it here along with a link to the video.
I pray it is a blessing and encouragement for you this morning.
πΆ πΆ….The simple song of life simply says, βYou SO LOVED the WORLD, That you gave your life for EVERY man, little boy, and girl.β
In this quest of life when tempests rage,I fall on my knees and say,
βLord donβt take my simple song awayβ.ππππππ
….In this quest of life when tempests rage, I fall on my knees and say, ππππ
βLord donβt take my simple song awayβ…… Songs like
πΆ…”AMAZING GRACE, how SWEET the sound, that SAVED a WRETCH like me”…πΆ ππ
Songs like, πΆ”Oooh we, ooh wee child, things are gonna get easier”….πΆ π
Songs like, πΆ”We got to find a way, to bring some LOVIN’ here today”….πΆππππ
βLord donβt take my simple song awayβ….
It may be simple to you, but it’s mine. All mine. All mine!….
I had been working a contract position and the position ended that February.
I know I’ve mentioned this before, but it is still relevant now because this post will go into a bit more detail about the series of eventsΒ and some of the recent revelations I received during my meditation time today.
No matter what I talk about on this blog or any of my social media sites, I will alwayscome back to sharing what the Lord has done for me.
When I was a little girl– I promised the Lord that if He would take my life and make it something different– something more than I could ever do on my own— I would let the world know what He’d done for me.
If you don’t remember any other thing about me, please know this– Every accomplishment, every good opportunity, every review (big or small), is God keeping His promises to me. I know that for a fact.
I do not take it Β for granted and I believe with every fiber of my being that if God can do that for me, He can and will do it for you.
If you accept Him as Lord and Savior, if you purpose in your heart to trust Him, to build a relationship with Him– not that you will be perfect ( I am most certainly NOT), but that you will continue to press towards Β the mark to accomplish whatever purpose it is that God has placed you on this Earth for– I KNOW He is FAITHFUL to do just EVERY GOOD THING He has promised in His word.
