Music Monday: Time

So, I’m still playing Ne-Yo on repeat.

With more thought to why I love his music, I realized two things:

  1. He’s SUCH a TRUE storyteller. From start to finish, his compositions tell a full story. On top of that, many of his albums are collections of stories that give the listener a full-fledged experience when played in sequence. I just love that.
  2. His style (lyrical and performance) reminded me a lot of Michael Jackson and I LOVE, love, LOVE Michael’s music.

Here’s another song from Ne-Yo that is one of my favorites. The subject is somewhat “heavy,” but it will give you a good sense of what I mean in the points I’ve listed above.

I’m including two clips because one is acapella (That boy can SANG!) and the other includes the arrangement which is AH-MAZING!

As I was writing this, I remembered that one of the few times I wormed my way though the crowd at Congo Square at the New Orleans Jazz Festival was to see Ne-Yo perform.

Anyone who knows me knows that’s saying A LOT. I do not like crowds or tight spaces and Congo Square can be BEYOND crowded for headliners like Ne-Yo. I found a few photos from that day. I even included some shots of me and my “bodyguard” 😂🤣aka the husboo 😍

Currently Playing – So You Can Cry

I’ve been meaning to come though with more “fun stuff,” so here we go!

I’m a SERIOUS music lover.

I play music almost EVERY day. Usually repeating one album or song for hours at a time. (My husband tolerates my musical obsession… he LOVES me y’all 🤣😂🤣)

For the past week, I’ve rediscovered my love for Ne-Yo.

I’m learning more of his new music, but “Year of the Gentleman” is STILL my FAVORITE album.

Travel Tips: Selecting Lightweight Luggage

I received this luggage set at a discounted price to review and it was just what I needed before my Matron of Honor duties kicked in. 

They came VERY well packaged. They were without a scratch and store just as easily.  

 

Only one of these bags was for me! 💐👰💖💗 I was soooooooooooooo excited and had my supplies reads ready to go! 

These 360° spinner wheels are THE BUSINESS. I’ve owned several sets with a similar design, but these are EXTRA lightweight. I mean, I can push my carry on with ONE FINGER. 👉

It just glides. I was so glad I had these before that trip. I was rolling solo, but the work was EASY.

The Lord will always give you what you need for the journey 🙌🙏☝💖
