Thankful Thursday: Why I am PROUD to Call Laurinburg, NC My Hometown
It’s not a Thursday, but I’m STILL thankful.
This came up in my Facebook memories today and truly made my heart smile.

I originally shared this as a Facebook post, but I thought about it this morning and figured it was also worth posting here. Iām sooooooooooooo thankful for my life and Iām proud to say I am from Laurinburg.
When I was younger, I didnāt understand the hurt, pain, and challenges I went through. I used to cry because I was ashamed/embarrassedā now tears fall because I see, EVERYDAY, how God is using my story to help todayās youth.
Yesterday, after bible study, one of my youth came up to me and said, āMiss Fran, I didnāt know we had all that in commonā and I replied (with a smile on my face), āYes, we do. And all those negative things donāt matter when God has His hand on your life. He WILL use it ALL for your GOOD!ā
Like Joseph, God has taken me from what felt like the āpitāā¦

I had a very low-key day, today.
Initially, I planned to work in my garden beds, but we experienced some temperature changes that set my seasonal allergies into a frenzy over the past week.
As a result, I was unable to garden and spent most of my day dealing with sinus congestion and related pressure/pain.
But, rest is ALWAYS needed and welcomed.
Hopefully, I’ll be up and feeling better tomorrow. šš¾
