I’m in a season of firsts and I’m FULLY OPEN to where God is leading me.

Isaiah 43:18-19 New Living Translation

“But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Are you an expecting/new mom?

Do you know one?

I recently reviewed this blanket and I love everything about it:

The size is perfect to cover a carseat or use while holding your little one, the colors are rich and vivid, and the material is SUPER soft!

The BEST thing about this review, is that I received a discount code to share with my followers:

Here’s the link to the product:

The review code is “BERLANDO” (without the quotation marks).

This will give you a 15% discount on the chevron blue and gray blanket.

I hope to have more discounts to share with you soon!

Until next time, GO FIX SOMETHING! 😉

This morning, I woke up earlier than usual, browsed Pinterest some, and became so overwhelmed with gratitude that I found myself in tears. It’s an indescribable feeling when you look around and see the promises of God fulfilled in your life. Things are not perfect, but I am thankful for the presence of things that were once simple figments of my 12 year-old imagination.

Then my mind went to thoughts of my “waiting place” experience. We all go through various waiting periods in life, my most recent one happened from 2011 to 2013. I’ll post more about that another time, but the memory of that season in my life left me wanting to share some encouragement this morning. My old notes are included below. I pray it provides some encouragement for you this morning.

This morning I was driving and this thought hit me:

Book Review: Let God’s Word Empower Your Prayers

I’ve already shared this about myself, but I am one of those people that will pray about EVERYTHING. From the major things to the minor things, there is NOT ONE THING that I won’t pray about. This probably dates back to my early days kid in Children’s Church.  I so clearly recall being completely convinced that if it mattered to me, it mattered to God.

Moreover, I learned at an early age that there is POWER in praying God’s Word back to Him. My mom taught me that. When you take the time to learn what God’s Word says about your particular issue or concern, you get to know God’s heart.

Even more than knowing His heart and what His Word says, you end up developing a RELATIONSHIP with Him. God is not Man that He should lie— in fact HE is FAITHFUL to perform what He has promised.

One of the habits I adopted during my teens was to become extra diligent about learning scriptures that applied to things I was praying for. This habit continues now that I am an adult.

I have long been a fan of Stormie Omartian’s books and was so excited to see another text with her prayers and insights. This is a great resource to have in your library if you are interested in growing your prayer life or if you are already an avid prayer warrior because we all have those days when we simply don’t know what to pray. At those times, it is so essentially important to remember to pray the scriptures and allow God’s Word to empower our prayers!
