When you’re thankful for the blessings all around you, you feel much happier. So slow down—and give thanks!
Good morning and happy Saturday!
Today’s Verse of the Day image displays a scene that is my idea of true serenity.
“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”
Seeing today’s verse of the day made me so very happy!!!!
It’s a VERY familiar verse.
In fact, it’s a verse that I shared earlier this month while at my husband’s hospital bedside. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
It’s moments like this that give me an even better understanding of the songs my church mothers used to sing.
I LOVED singing hymns at church. (I was THAT kid on the choir 🤣)
In particular, these lyrics come to mind,
🎶’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, ‘Thus saith the Lord!’Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!…🎶[Original post to follow]
Romans 8 is a power packed chapter and one of my favorites!
